Assistant Resource Specialist (858-522)

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Branch Operations Manager, has the general responsibility, to assist the specialist in overseeing all resource associates within the office and to ensure the smooth and orderly operation of the Resource Associate line and related functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Resource Associate Activities
Assists in overseeing of Resource Associates for whom responsible; provides input and may participate in Resource Associate appraisal process.
Assist in scheduling all Resource Associates personnel in order to maintain proper staffing.
Assist in scheduling regular staff meetings for ongoing training.
Ensures that each staff member submits work to proof in a neat and orderly manner and that the Resource Associate's daily balance sheet is properly prepared.
Ensures each Resource Associate balances every day. Provides assistance to locate any differences. Ensures that all differences are properly initialed and if required, reported to the Branch Operations Manager immediately.
Monitors and controls all "detail responsibilities" generally performed by Resource Associates, delegating those duties in a manner, which will maximize efficiency of the office.
Ensures that the appearance of the Resource Associate's area and personnel are neat, organized and in accordance with bank policy.
Assist in coaching the Resource Associates in reaching their monthly goals.
Security
Ensures that all negotiable and confidential records in the work area are properly secured each day.
Oversees proper dually controlled daily opening of the night depository and the processing of the contents therein.
Assists in conducting regular unannounced audits of all vault and Resource Associates' cash, maintaining a written signed record of each audit, reporting any exception to the manager.
Sells and / or refers Bank's products and services to customers and prospects.
May be responsible for balancing Resource Associates to General Ledger.
Acts as backup Relationship Banker when necessary.
Prepares balance sheets on Resource Associates as necessary.
Assists the Resource Specialist as needed.
Responsible for their own Resource Associate drawer.
Adheres to the job duties as a Resource Associate.
Adheres to the BSA Policy and all other Bank Policies.
Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor.
Required Skills
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
This is a single incumbent position within each banking office. The incumbent may work in either the main office or in a branch.
One year or more of Assistant Head Resource Associate experience or at least 2 years of Resource Associate experience.
All new hires will be required to pass a background check, credit check, and drug screening.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
